Transport Research Centre is a public research institution and the only transport scientific research organization within the competence of the Ministry of Transport. It was established in 1992 as the legal successor of the Czech parts of the Research Institute of Transport in Žilina.

The core mission of the Transport Research Centre is research, development and expert activities nationwide for all sectors of transport, public and commercial sectors, and service activities for the Ministry of Transport and other state, public and private sector bodies and organizations.

Since 2014, Transport Research Centre is an expert institute in transport, construction and related fields.

AFRY CZ s.r.o. was established on January 1, 2020, by the merger of 4 traditional companies from the ÅF Pöyry Group - AF-CITYPLAN, AF-Consult Czech Republic, AF-Engineering and AF Nuclear Projects. The merger resulted in a company with a unique portfolio of services covering architecture, transport, industry, energy, construction and infrastructure. It employs 320 professionals. SUDOP PRAHA is a project, consultancy and engineering company specializing in complex solutions of transport infrastructure issues, especially railway constructions, road and motorway constructions and urban public transport systems. It proposes not only the overall technical solution of buildings but also solves the issues of management and organization of transport, transport and carriage technology, logistics, tariff policy, economy of transport and influence of constructions on the environment.

From the point of view of transport analyzes, it evaluates and forecasts the transport market, transport surveys and analyzes, modeling and forecasting transport demand of municipalities, regions, larger territorial units of all types and segments of transport (passenger and freight). Modeling uses PTV VISION software.
